What does an LMI do on a crane?+
The load moment indicator, also called RCL (rated capacity limiter), compares the actual load and boom position against the crane's load chart and warns the operator or cuts out functions before the crane is overloaded.
What is an A2B switch?+
The anti-two-block (A2B) switch detects when the hook block is about to contact the boom tip and stops hoist-up, telescope-out and boom-down functions. A faulty A2B switch or cable is one of the most common LMI faults.
